American Field Sporting: What is it?
There is a new and exciting type of sporting clays taking the community by storm. It’s called American Field Sporting and it’s a ton of fun with fewer rules! There are a couple things you need to know about American Field Sporting before getting out there and trying it for yourself. The first thing is that there are four different field variations for this sport: Red, White, Blue, and Green. These different stations all offer a unique experience for the shooters. Next is that there are 12 basic rules to be followed while playing.
While 12 may seem like a lot, there actually aren’t too many rules in comparison to other variations of the sport. If you have more questions or just want to know more about the sport check out the official AFS website. Here at Longmeadow we are going to be holding our first American Field Sporting event this coming May at the NSCA Memorial 100 + AFS. You can already head over to Score Chaser to sign up for the shoot, as well as any of Longmeadow’s other NSCA events. Trust us when we say that you don’t want to miss out on this awesome new form of sporting clays. It’s different, exciting, and like they say, less rules makes for more fun! Can’t wait to see you out on the course!
If you can’t wait till May and want to try your hand at AFS sooner, feel free to give us a call to schedule your next round. If you are looking for more info about AFS head over to the official website.
