We Love Weddings in the Spring!

Spring is a great time to tie the knot. It is a time of optimism and rebirth. As the days grow longer and the weather gifts us with some glorious days, its natural for couples to turn to thoughts of getting married. If you are considering a wedding ceremony in the spring, here are some tips to help you along:

Indoor vs. Outdoor

If you would like to get married outside, keep in mind that the spring weather can be unpredictable. At Longmeadow, we can plan for an outdoor wedding and if the weather looks like it won’t cooperate, we can always move it indoors.

Wedding Party Attire

If you are planning on getting married outdoors, be considerate of your bridesmaids. Opt for a warmer, long sleeve dress that way they won’t be standing there shivering with teeth chattering. You should also consider an alternative to the traditional satin wedding shoe.

Wedding Favors

Think planting season in eastern Colorado. You could give seed packets or bulbs for planting. At Longmeadow we are partial to birds, which makes us think of birdhouses, eggs and the Easter bunny. We even found this mini watering can for as little as $1.25

The Dress

We tend to see a lot of ruffles and large skirts in the spring. You can take advantage of the cooler weather and opt for vintage elegance. Click the image below to check out the 2013 Spring Collection from Angel Rivera:
